Bar Lucci is a new local bar and music venue in Kent, OH run by venerable Kent musician, Jon Finley, and his brother Peter. Their longtime dream of one day owning a bar and venue space in town finally came to fruition, but there was one issue - the acoustics were bad!
Jon came to ClearSonic in the hopes of improving this issue, and we determined that he needed (30) S2448 Sorber panels. Wall space wasn't totally uniform due to artwork, so the panels were placed in rows about ear height or higher, and they were also placed where space would allow.
The results were impressive. But don't just take my word for it. Here is a statement from the owner, Jon, about the project:
"My name is Jon Finley, owner of Bar Lucci in Kent Ohio. When we developed the concept and layout for our bar, we did not take into account, the acoustics for the space we had. Our bar is made of steel and with an open ceiling and lots of angles, we quickly learned, at our soft opening that we had a major problem. It was very hard to hear anything. Even talking to the person next to you was a challenge. It was extremely loud. 10 people talking sounded like a much bigger crowd. Having a drink and relaxing was just not possible. Even more, having live music, which was a major part of our vision was out of the question. I was unsure how to fix it. I knew we had to do something.
A friend, and fellow musician, recommended ClearSonic sound proofing, assuring me their stuff was super high quality and that sound panels would work for us. I worked with Nick, another friend, who works at ClearSonic. He was extremely helpful, answered all my questions, and made the ordering process a breeze.
Bottom line is that using ClearSonic sound panels at our bar was a complete game changer. Not only is the volume level tolerable, even at full capacity, bands sound great, the panels look good, and have helped us give our guests the experience they deserve. I could not be happier with the service, price and results ClearSonic delivered. I can't thank Nick and ClearSonic enough."
Do you know a space that could use some acoustic treatment? Give us a shout! Well, for the sake of everyone's ears maybe just speak to us at a normal volume.
